I studied the kernel touchscreen driver last weekend. I found a few manuals and the datasheet. There were a lot of bandages from Lenovo. After a lot of clean up, I managed to understand a few things now.
I built a new kernel and tested for a day. Everything seems working good. It would work for all my ROMs or others.
In this build:
1. Native gesture support for the GT9157 chip is enabled
2. Keep the Lenovo support untouched.
3. Enable the low power mode at suspend. In this mode, on 20-25% of power consumed so it would be better for battery.
4. Native suspend already handled pocket mode so gesture support would disable automatically.
5. Native DT2W is enabled. In addition to the screen tapping, double tap the home key also wakeup.

Flash this in recovery will update the kernel binary. Root and everything would be preserved. Cheers!

I'll write a new interface which can provide more gesture support options.
