What is it?GSM Signal Monitoring is a specialized application for Android devices which checks a state of GSM or UMTS cellular networks.
It will be useful if you want to:- monitor cell ids of cellular network including neighboring cell (in GSM);
- check strength level of signals from surrounding base stations and analyze its change dynamics;
- watch cell ids log;
- find out an approximate address of cells.

- Q: How to turn off background information gathering when application is not active?A: The background measuring service can be stopped by pressing Exit button in the application menu.
- Q: How does the application determines address of a cell?A: GSM Signal Monitoring uses requests to Google Geolocation which gives an approximate address of a cell.
- Q: Why can't I see neighbor cells when the phone is in 3G/UMTS?A: Standard for 3G/UMTS networks does not imply the concept of "neighboring cells". So cells can be shown only in GSM networks.
